I am fundraising for the 2015 Habitat for Humanity trip to Romania in association with the American Church of Paris! I will help the community and build a better future for them!
I am Matthew Jourlait, a fifteen year old student from France, Canada and the United States. I have been living in Paris for six years and have been attending the American church of Paris for that whole time. I am a very active young man who loves to have a good time but also work hard and study. Sports are a huge part of my life and I hope I'll be able to be up to the task in Romania (watch out for the heavy lifting ;). I am going on this trip to help participate in a world changing mission that saves lives and also spreads God's love around the world. In order to go to college in the USA, you also need a minimum of 2 weeks of charity work and so , I decided that I could kill two birds in one stone and go on tis trip! Please donate and support my team and me in this ongoing and particularly poignant mission
Our Team is a diverse and dynamic group of people from The American Church in Paris from multiple nationalities, countries and cultures.
The participants are members of youth ministry, young adult ministry and the congregation desiring to give their time and talent to help provide a home and to give hope for people in Romania.
The H4H communtiy at our Church which is open to everybody who wants to join and help others in need, has a very long history of trips to mainly Eastern but also sometimes southern Europe. We're glad even in times where money is short to have the opportunity to go abroad and to help others. But also to have the chance to participate in such a great mission. God bless all people!
Global Village is Habitat for Humanity’s international volunteer program. Teams travel to over 40 countries to work alongside communities, build housing solutions, and experience local culture. Our goal is to change the lives of the people we serve, as well as the lives of the volunteers. To join a team or learn more, visit http://www.habitat.org/eurasia/get_involved/global_village.
About Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in nearly 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitatemea.org
