About Me

Hi! My name is Kayla and I am currently attending the Lycée International Honoré de Balzac in Paris. Outside of school I enjoy sports (soccer, gymnastics), movies, and participate in different extracurricular activities such as the MUN (Model United Nations) and Des Jeunes et des Lettres among others. Today I am reaching out to you because I am raising money for a cause I care about: Kyrgizstan is famous for the natural beauty of its mountains and lakes, but the weather can be harsh and the homes of the Kyrgizstan people offer little protection against severe cold and rain. Crumbling shacks with makeshift roofs are common in many areas, and entire families often crowd into 1 studio apartments. I would like to do something for others that will really make a difference in their lives and for their future. I feel it is our responsibility to help those in need when we can. Individuals tend to always want to better themselves, but we must also better humanity as a whole because we are all part of it.

More Info

Our Team is a diverse and dynamic group of people from The American Church in Paris from multiple nationalities, countries and cultures.

The participants are members of youth ministry, young adult ministry and the congregation desiring to give their time and talent to help provide a home and to give hope for people in Kyrgysztan.

The H4H communtiy at our Church which is open to everybody who wants to join and help others in need, has a very long history of trips to mainly Eastern but also sometimes southern Europe. We're glad even in times where money is short to have the opportunity to go abroad and to help others. But also to have the chance to participate in such a great mission. God bless all people!

About Habitat for Humanity International

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in nearly 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitatemea.org
