My name is Ella Mundinger and I'll soon be 16. I'm a 10th grader at a suburban Paris high school. I've been studying the violin since I was 5 and I also study percussion. Music is my passion, but I don't necessarily want to go into music as a profession. I was born and raised in France, but my mother is American, which has allowed me to see different cultures. I would like to serve with Habitat for Humanity in order to meet people from yet another culture and help and share with them. I live in a rich country and have never had material worries, but I realize that others don't always have the same luck as I do. I feel that's not fair and that's why I would like to help.
Our Team is a diverse and dynamic group of people from The American Church in Paris from multiple nationalities, countries and cultures.
The participants are members of youth ministry, young adult ministry and the congregation desiring to give their time and talent to help provide a home and to give hope for people in Romania.
The H4H communtiy at our Church which is open to everybody who wants to join and help others in need, has a very long history of trips to mainly Eastern but also sometimes southern Europe. We're glad even in times where money is short to have the opportunity to go abroad and to help others. But also to have the chance to participate in such a great mission. God bless all people!
Global Village is Habitat for Humanity’s international volunteer program. Teams travel to over 40 countries to work alongside communities, build housing solutions, and experience local culture. Our goal is to change the lives of the people we serve, as well as the lives of the volunteers. To join a team or learn more, visit http://www.habitat.org/eurasia/get_involved/global_village.
About Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in nearly 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitatemea.org
