Here is another picture from my experience in Romania. We were working on installing exterior insulation for the foundation of the house
I am one of the pastors at The American Church in Paris and have lived in France for almost four years. I am married to Lauretta and we have two boys, Jack and Blake. I care deeply about alleviating global poverty, working for justice and providing homes for those in need and have traveled to many countries partnering with organizations seeking to bring renewal and change. I love Habitat for Humanity's vision of providing a decent and affordable home to everyone, and have gone on three previous trips with H4H to Romania, Portugal and Bulgaria. I appreciate your support and generosity towards this cause and my personal participation.
Our Team is a diverse and dynamic group of people from The American Church in Paris from multiple nationalities, countries and cultures.
The participants are members of youth ministry, young adult ministry and the congregation desiring to give their time and talent to help provide a home and to give hope for people in Romania.
The H4H communtiy at our Church which is open to everybody who wants to join and help others in need, has a very long history of trips to mainly Eastern but also sometimes southern Europe. We're glad even in times where money is short to have the opportunity to go abroad and to help others. But also to have the chance to participate in such a great mission. God bless all people!
Global Village is Habitat for Humanity’s international volunteer program. Teams travel to over 40 countries to work alongside communities, build housing solutions, and experience local culture. Our goal is to change the lives of the people we serve, as well as the lives of the volunteers. To join a team or learn more, visit http://www.habitat.org/eurasia/get_involved/global_village.
About Habitat for Humanity International
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in nearly 70 countries. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitatemea.org
Very grateful for everyone who generously contributed to this trip. We were able to truly bless an elderly couple by helping build them a new home. The trip was wonderful, eye-opening and fun and it means a great deal to me that you helped make this experience possible. Thank you all for your partnership!
While our trip is still 6 weeks ago, our fundraising campaign is coming to an end to ensure that the funds get transferred to Romania in time. I am almost half way to my goal and would love to find 10 new supporters who can contribute at least $25. Thanks again for your support and prayers!
Hello friends and family! This is my first update and I am excited to launch this new campaign with ACP and Habitat for Humanity. Over the next two weeks, my personal goal is to raise $600 towards the cost of my trip to Romania. The past trips have truly been eye-opening and inspiring to hear the stories of local families working hard to provide a home. I love the opportunity to experience and embrace a new culture as well as work with my hands towards a tangible goal of home building and renovation. Thanks for your support and generosity!
